Help protect your organisation by ensuring your employees understand how to recognise, prevent and report harassment in the workplace.
In October 2024, employers became subject to a legal duty to take reasonable steps to prevent sexual harassment in the workplace. From October 2026, that duty is expected to become even stricter, requiring employers to take all reasonable steps to prevent sexual harassment, alongside the introduction of employer liability for third-party harassment.
Employment Tribunals don't just consider whether harassment occurred, they can also examine what your organisation did to try to prevent it. With these legal changes on the horizon, employers should be reviewing their anti-harassment measures now. The Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) identifies regular, effective staff training as one of the key steps employers should take to help demonstrate compliance with their legal obligations and reduce the risk of liability.
